I found Karate at the age of 25. I was bored of fitness classes and wanted something different where I was learning and evolving as well as keeping fit! From the first lesson I was captivated and it started me on a karate path that I have never left.
I worked my way through the Kyu grades and achieved my 2nd Dan. I competed in several competitions and qualified as a senior instructor.
Following breaks in training to have my three children, I always missed Karate and was desperate to return. Karate has become a way of life as there is always something to learn and always another challenge.
Outside of Karate, I am a self-employed seamstress and a dedicated Mum, who also enjoys Gin. Karate does not see age or ability, it sees commitment, dedication and hard work. It is open for everyone and with the right attitude there are no limits!
